Senior Events
Our senior class has done an amazing job this year, both in and out of the classroom, and we look forward to recognizing their accomplishments. As the end of year approaches, here is a look at upcoming events.
UPDATE: Commencement speaker will be Dr. Paul O. Carrese, Director of the School of Civic & Economic Thought and Leadership at Arizona State University.

Graduation Orders
- Our graduation supplier Balfour was here to deliver graduation announcements, mugs, and other items. Graduation gowns have been delivered. Any unclaimed items will be at the front desk.

End-of-Year Events
- Senior Tribute Night: May 17, 5:00 PM in the Lunch Room and Lund Center. See invitations for RSVP info.
- Tribute Night is a tradition that goes back to the first years of our academy. The highlight of the evening is that every senior receives a short, personal tribute speech from one of their teachers during their time at Veritas. Expect a mixture of anecdotes, with both humor and reflection, as we look back on the time our seniors have spent at this academy. A full-color commemorative booklet featuring each senior’s thesis topic, favorite quotes, and more, is provided to all students. Each student also ends the event by receiving a small gift as a keepsake from the teacher giving their speech. With speeches for the entire class, the event runs several hours, and there are light refreshments – so plan meals accordingly. Attendance is limited by invitation to the student and parents/guardians. This is one of the well-earned features of a busy senior year. Hope to see you there!

| ALL SENIORS COME TO BREAKFAST IN COURTYARD! The PSO sponsored school-wide Senior Send Off Breakfast in THIS FRIDAY at 7:10am. This breakfast will take the place of the regular Senior monthly breakfast. If you signed up to bring food to the breakfast, please bring it to the school courtyard at 7:00am. | The 2019 Junior-Senior Prom will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2018 from 6:00 – 10:00 PM. Prom is for current Veritas Prep junior and senior high-school students and registered guests. The event will be held at the Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park and will feature a “rustic chic” theme. See link below regarding the specific dress code requirements. | A Picture Board will be given to your students soon. This board is to be decorated with photos of your Senior and returned to the front office by 5/10. Details of this assignment were given to your student at the Senior Meeting last week. These Boards will be used at Senior Tribute Night.

Senior Tribute Night is a long standing tradition at Veritas, whereby the faculty honors graduating seniors by giving them each a speech sharing anecdotes about their unique experiences and highlighting their individual achievements. This highly personalized special evening commemorates the hard work and good times that have contributed to getting each student to graduation. We look forward to celebrating your students on May 17th.
